The practice

It does not look like a dentist, on purpose.

A converted ground floor with daylight on two sides. We kept as much of that as the equipment allowed.

Waiting room

The building

Four surgeries, one planning room with the scanner, and a lab bench where the technician works on site. No strip lighting anywhere in the building, no television playing at the ceiling, and no clinical smell in the part of the practice where you wait.

Every surgery has a window. That sounds like a small thing until you have spent an hour looking at a ceiling, which is what most dental practices ask of you.

Step-free from the street, with a wide door to two of the four surgeries and a ground-floor accessible toilet. If you need something we have not thought of, telephone and ask — the answer is usually yes.

The people

Four clinicians.

Whoever plans your treatment carries it out. You will not be handed to somebody you have never met on the day.

01

Dr A. Rao

Principal — implants and restorative. Places every implant in the practice.

Here since 2014
02

Dr M. Sequeira

Cosmetic and restorative. Runs the veneer and alignment cases.

Here since 2017
03

Dr P. Nair

Periodontics. Gum health, and the reason the implants last.

Here since 2019
04

S. Kulkarni

Hygienist. Sees more of our patients than anyone else does.

Here since 2015

Portraits are left off deliberately. Aurea is a concept practice, and a generated photograph of a dentist who does not exist is the single most misleading thing this site could carry — a face is what people trust on a clinic page. A real practice photographs its own team here.

Equipment

What it buys you.

Listed by what it changes about your appointment, rather than by model number.

01

CBCT scanner

Three-dimensional imaging on site, so implant placement is planned in software rather than judged in the chair.

02

Intraoral scanner

A digital scan instead of the putty tray. Faster, more accurate, and considerably less unpleasant.

03

On-site lab bench

A technician works here two days a week, which is why a temporary crown takes forty minutes rather than a week.

04

IV sedation

Available for anyone who wants it, with a trained sedationist present for the whole appointment.
